One can argue that we are not the cause but no one can deny that humans are the reason behind the climate change, the biggest threat to our life support systems. This is a crisis that is being developed from our imbalanced relationship with nature where we failed to return to nature for what we take from it.
Why should we care
The entire global ecosystem is directly or indirectly related to the climate. So, every bit of injustice to the climate will come back to all species which is caused by the humans only. We are not only being unfair to other habitats; we are being inconsiderate for our own next generation.
Is it too late?
Yes, it is too late…to look away from the issue, it is final time to address and act on it. Commercial carbon offset is undoubtedly the best initiative but at first, we need to offset our thoughts and our way of living. We need to try stop adding to the problem and surely offset what we cannot avoid; we need to do our bit.
Lead by example
Subarnajatra wants to set an example for the least that we can do from our side. We will plant trees few times more than that we need to offset our guilts for driving a vehicle around this trip. We will insist the parents to be the role model for next generation and not to take the gardening or plantation as a hobby anymore, it is time to make it a practice.
