1971 – A country was born

After being defeated in 1757 at Palashi, the people of this land experienced the shackles of oppression by others from decades to decades in different forms. After dissolution of the British in 1947, the historical Language Movement in 1952, Six-Points Movement by Bangabandhu in 1966, Mass Revolution in 1969 and finally, a bloody battle for nine months in 1971, a new country took place in the world map with the direction of the greatest leader, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, named Bangladesh.

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) surpluses all other sectors significantly which represents the tremendous progress over the past 50 years. Bangladesh is considered as a role model for other developing economies in achieving sustainable development according to the

former UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon, praised Bangladesh for clocking more than 8 percent economic growth.

Bangabandhu Satellite, Eye in the space

Bangladesh reached a tremendous milestone in May 12, 2018 by sending the “Bangabandhu Satellite-1” into the space, a life-long dream, orbiting around the planet before her 50th Birthday. Moreover, some amazing projects like Hi-Tech Park and Software Technology Park are in motion to facilitate the largest and growing number of freelancers in the world.

Land of Opportunities

Some breathtaking mega-projects such as The Padma Bridge, The Matarbari Deep Sea Port, The Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, The Dhaka Metro Rail, The Karnaphuli River Tunnel, The Dhaka Elevated Expressway welcoming millions of tourists every year to explore and create the opportunity to be a part of it. Our ride will be a branded motorhome that will go through many cities of 50 countries – total 40,000 km distance. We will carry our flag and brands from Bangladesh on the vechicle that will stop over in pre-arranged spots to tell the story of Bangladesh.

Showcase the progression

Throughout this journey, Subarnajtara will showcase a documentary on the progress of Bangladesh in the past 50 years. This uncut documentary will draw attention of not only NRB communities, but also the foreigners and many other international news and media.

The journey will be live broadcasted via youtube and facebook 24/7 and a special ‘Daily Subarnajatra Showcase‘ will be posted with highlighted part of the trip. Millions of social media activists are welcome to share the story of Bangladesh to rest of the world.
